Garage sale jackpot
Stopped at a garage sale yesterday. Lots of tools. I picked up a Duofast electric, Orcon iron, kicker, Duofast pad stapler, hammer, stair tool, two pair of strip cutters, three different wall trimmers and a few other hand tools. Everything is in very good condition. Also got 10 boxes of Duofast 1832 staples for underlayment, 4 boxes of Duofast 5010-D pad staples and 3 boxes of staples for the electric stapler. All for $90 bucks. Hell all the staples are worth that much.

Re: Garage sale jackpot
My truck got stolen once many years ago. This makes me think of that.
For every winner there is an equal and opposite loser.

Re: Garage sale jackpot
The preceeding was not an attack or reflection on any one here. It just bought up a bad memory.
No one here would knowingly buy 'hot' tools. I realize some one could have retired, or died and the children may have been selling off the tools. Or some other legit circumstance.
I know I would have almost paid some one to take my tools off my hands at time in the past (you know, frustration levels).

Re: Garage sale jackpot
I did know the people that had the garage sale. He was the uncle of the retailer that I work for. He passed away about 6 months ago. His wife is selling all of his tools. He was only in the carpet trade for a short time before he started a maintenance company. This guy had tons of tools. I'm sure I could have found more to buy but money is to tight right now.

Re: Garage sale jackpot
I like the tools with the serial numbers filed off. They are always the cheapest. I don't know what manufacturer it is that makes them like that.
