Re: carpet seam cutter

You posted a link just right, Al. All it is is a copy & paste of the website address. Our forum software does the rest.

I followed the link to Shag Tools, but couldn't find a double-cutter seam cutting tool for cutting 2 edges at once. Maybe another supplier has one.

R'gards,

Jim

Re: carpet seam cutter

I believe the tool you are talking of was made by Crain. I had a guy try to cut a berber seam with one. What a mess he made of it. Not a tool of choice for me. I just went to the Crain site and didn't see one listed. I don't know if they make them anymore or not.
This was about 14 years ago.

Re: carpet seam cutter

You got it fathead, it was called the Twin Cutter and was made by Crain.
POS and they don't make them anymore.

If you want one I have one somewhere in my pile of tools that don't work.

Re: carpet seam cutter

why would someone want something that is said to fail?obviously, if a company stopped producing it, it wasn't cost effective.hmm
