We are all using the same basic tools, different manufacturers, some of us are inclined to have every tool made for this trade, others just have the tools needed to get the job done.

Re: difference in tools between the pond
I know they use some different tools over there to install lino and pvc sheet goods. I just cannot remember what they were.

Re: difference in tools between the pond
Most of the tools the guys use here are the same as yours. Most come from Roberts. We get the Roberts book here and it is the same as ones I have seen at Surfaces. One main difference is our rollers move to the left and yours go to the right

To us southpaws, our tools are backwards, too.

Been here for a long time and I think this is the first reference to lefties I have seen.
Aren't right handed tools hard to use for us?
I am fortunate, as I am somewhat ambidextrous. But only some what.
I was using Armstrong's vinyl edge trimmer last week and the other installer I was working with tole me they were designed to be pulled. You can't do that with your left hand, I always have to puch mine.

EG
Do you guys still use a seaming hammer to 'iron' your seams in lino and inlaid vinyls.
Most here do not even know what it is. I use one on Marmo all the time.
