Re: clean

I usually plug it in outside and let it burn for 15 minutes or so and wipe the bottom of the iron on the face of a piece of carpet. Then take a small scraper and scoop it out of the tray. Be careful cause that stuff sucks when it sticks to you fingers or hands.

Re: clean

Put the tray in the freezer overnight. In the morning go outside and drop it on the sidewalk or driveway. The glue pops right out.

You were a newbie, youve made 4 posts so you are one of us now like it or not.
Once you get the tray clean spray it with bakers secret or pam it won't stick anymore. Like Chris said heat it up and scrape it off on a piece of carpet. I usually throw a piece of scrap at the end of the seams and when done wipe it off.
What Barry says also works.

Re: clean

I'll have to try that Pam trick. Haven't used the old style iron for a while though, the KoolGlide has kinda taken over.
