I buy the Crain utility knife and take that flip up thingy for twisting the screw off and take the spring that's inside out of there also. Then I just use my thumb nail for the screw and it works great! Zzzoom!

Use JB-Weld and glue a nickle to your thumbnail for more leverage. I bet Red Green hadn't even thought of that.

I use the hook blades in my old Ward knife. One with a utility, one with a hook. I still have a couple of the old Amstrong hook knives, but the angle is a little steep for cutting in.

I'm doing a job of Connection Corlon, all flat lay with rubber base. Yahoo. Material is easy to knife in, and its all heat welded. I could get used to this...

Darol, repeat after me Darol, It may not be too late to correct your wording............ I think CP may have misunderstood your comment.

"...CP, ...I meant to say that I paint my nails with JB-Weld and then impregnate large quantities of industrial diamonds and carbide to it to make my nails stronger. .....I do it so I can use them as self defense weapons, or as a screwdriver or even to cut ceramic floor tiles with little effort."

Well.....I didn't want to make a big deal about it.......but now that you've exposed the truth.......it's also good for pulling baseboards and big nails. Oh yeah, and cleaning fish too.

Them Blue Marlins look too pretty to dirty up. Nice fishy look too.

I have used the bent Orcons for years, I put tape on one of them so I can tell the difference between my utility knife and my hook knife with out looking.

I love the big hook Janser blades when I can find them or the big hook Roberts. Don't like the small hook blade like the Persona's that everybody stocks.

Still have my Lino Lion knife but I only use it for tucking inside corners when I'm free hand coving or tucking in around metal door casings.

OK so I ordered a couple of these knives, and I must say I am impressed, they are a lot like the Delphins but a little more angle on them and IMO a littler better fit for me. I think I have found my next favorite knives, I will confirm later after a few covers

I just bought some of these blades I've been reading about. I'm going to give them a whirl. 100 x CONCAVE HEAVY DUTY STANLEY type trimming blades - eBay (item 280492186554 end time Oct-09-10 02:24:16 PDT)
Have you ever tried them?
