Glue down carpet wall trimmer

Before I bought this trimmer I asked my partner of 28 yrs in the industry his opinion on wall trimmers and he said their better to use in residential carpet installation verse commercial. I bought the Goof Proof Wall trimmer about a month after our discussion and on the first job I was on with my partner I ask him to try it and give me his feedback, he was able to install 4 rooms to my 1 room. After that job he keep begging me to order one for him and he loves it.

In my opinion I think this is an amazing tool and save you alot of time.

That's the proknee brand, right? I keep meaning to try one but since mine works so well I don't ever have the motivation.

Are you using a slotted blade in it? Did you try a utility or a hook blade?

Jackzz, you replied to an old topic, so I moved your post and its replies to its own new topic. I also edited your post to link to the trimmer you were talking about.

yeah, and don't take him moving your thread to do it's own thing as a bad idea (tm). It's actually sort of an honor.

I, for one, am really curious about this tool but how often do you honestly order new proknees? Actually, I know the answer to that when you're 210lbs... about every three years. Mid-week I went back to my old pair and hope to have my newer ones rebuilt to the 2010 standard with the 1in pad next month. GoGo Gadget OT!

Please tell me how you have used this trimmer and as an aside, how dangerous is it rolling around in a tool bag/box with the blade out?

Sean, the 1'' pads are real nice. Been on them for about 5 months now. Best flooring purchase I have made outside of the norm. For anyone that works on a floor these are a MUST imo.
