Total Solutions 2009 to be held in San Antonio September 17-18th
On September 17th and 18th, at the beautiful Valencia Hotel on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, the
National Tile Contractors Association will hold Total Solutions 2009; their annual technical and business conference open to all industry professionals. In addition to the conference, over 50 Tabletop Exhibitors will be on hand to showcase their latest products and services on Thursday evening, September 17th. This year, the
NTCA will feature several technical presentations centered around important new documents approved by the NTCA Technical Committee for inclusion in the Reference Manual. In addition, a special opening presentation by the Marble Institute of America on natural stone tile installations will highlight the opening day activities.
Recognizing the significant challenges the economy has placed on the tile industry, business presentations will focus on how to get your price and maintain profits in a tight and challenging market. NTCA will also explore the important aspect of marketing your company and generating business in these challenging times.
Hands On Demonstrations have been receiving rave reviews at NTCA Workshop seminars around the country. For this reason, they will offer some hands on demonstrations at Total Solutions, focusing on proper troweling techniques and glass tile installations.
The NTCA believes strongly in collaborating with manufacturer and distributor partners. In a special session at Total Solutions, invitations go out to key leaders in distribution and manufacturing to participate in a forum discussing current installation trends, what is and isn't working, and how technology can help the contractor to thrive and prosper both now and in the future.
A special collaboration this year with the Materials and Methods Standards Association (MMSA) will result in a presentation by their technical experts as well as sponsorship of the event. Total Solutions is taking place at the Valencia Hotel, voted one of the top 500 hotels in the world by Travel and Leisure Magazine. This intimate hotel will be almost exclusively occupied the entire week by the NTCA Total Solutions attendees. In fact, the Tabletop Exhibit event will flow throughout the hotel lobby and bar areas, creating a different approach to traditional tabletop halls and events in the past. NTCA seminars will take place across the street at the historic Empire Theatre, built in the late 1800's and one of the glorious links between the past and the present. This will truly be one of the most effective settings for presentations and seminars, and all are encouraged to attend this event.
As with traditional annual meetings, a special Awards Banquet will take place on Friday evening at the Empire Theatre, and the NTCA will hold their Board and Technical Committee meetings as well.
