Hello, my first posting here!

Looks like a great information website.

We are just starting to install konecto flooring in an upper bedroom, (just in case it doesnt' look right).

One problem I have encountered is...sometimes there is a tiny gap between two pieces, not sure why there isn't as tight a connection as in some places.

Might be that the first planks were not lined up perfectly against the wall behind my baseboard. I didn't go with the 1/8 inch away from the baseboard, it was too hard to keep everything in line. I don't see much change in air temperature as we have central heat & air.

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about a filler for those gaps?

What about those crayon type fillers for nail holes? I think you might be able to fill them and wipe over it and hopefully it will not show. Why don't they do the Konecto strip in a matching color so gaps so show up so much? Good idea???

Also, I have found that its a pain in the behind to go backwards with the Konecto.

I have a 2 story cape cod with dormers. Only solution I had was to go in reverse when I came to the offset of the dormer and cut the last plank to finish out on the back wall.

I did find that if you went ahead and fitted the two planks together before trying to slip it under the previous plank it was easier than coming back and trying to prise up the plank to fit the next one in.

We bought the Konecto Prestige, Quincy pattern. We like it, but will have to get used to the wider planks. They say this is the coming style in hardwood floors, anyone else hear this?

They said it will save in installation and I guess the expense of having 2-3 inch planks installed versus the 4-5 inch planks.
All in all, I think we are going to like it.

Thanks!
Marsha
