Recommend a "wood" look vinyl

Hi all,

I want to install a wood looking vinyl in my powder bath, a la Konecto, but I can't find a local retailer for it. There are a lot of products on the market so I'm confused. I like the fact that Konecto goes straight onto the subfloor (in my case old sheet vinyl over slab). I don't like the "clicky-hollow" sound of pergo types.

Also, how does this kind of product work in a bathroom install? Would the toilet have to be lifted and then how is it reinstalled to allow for expansion?

Your help is appreciated!

Amy

PS - Floorguy, I'm in your area and have emailed you regarding where to find Konecto locally. Since I'm only doing a very small space I don't want to pay loads for shipping. Your help, should you see this, is appreciated!

I have never had a chance to play with it, as it is marketed as a DIY product, mostly.

I have no idea who has it.

Konecto would be a good choice. I did it in a house with a bath and a kitchen. In the bath, yes you would remove the toilet and reinstall it when the floor is done. The other walls would give you the amount of expansion away from the toilet.

In a powder bath konecto might work.

There are other products that look better though. Mannington Adura has some very nice wood looks. IVC Earthscapes might work as well. Look around in some of your local flooring retailers and see what you like.

I'm with Stullis. Adura is a good looking product as is Mira Wood (also a SVT).
IVC is a good product but looks a little fake.
