Konecto Pad / Noise Reduction

Hello;

I am going to install Konecto Prestige in my Living Room / Dining room. Used to be carpet, but I have it all pulled out and am currently prepping the floor.

I have 1/4 clearance to base boards, and Konecto is 3/16, so I have just enough room for the konecto without pulling my baseboards, if I use no padding. So basically it is a huge job to use padding as I will have to pull all the molding.

I was told by a Konecto dealer that there is 1 special type of pad that is authorized by konecto.

I am wondering how helpful this pad would be. Right now the empty room is very loud. I know the konecto it's self will calm things down quite a bit, but not sure if it will be enough.

Can anyone that has experiance with Konectio in a residential enviroment give me any idea what to expect with or without padding?

Sounds like sound wont be a problem!

Either remove the base or add base shoe/quarter round.

Pad, probably not needed but it does help a bit with noise.
Personally I don't recommend it.
