Rolling Chairs on Konecto Vinyl Floors
A few years back I purchased a SunDial floating vinyl floor from H.D. A BIG mistake. I explained where the floor was to be installed and the chairs that would be in the room. Nothing was said about problems that I might have. Unlike Konecto, this type of floor cannot handle ANY chairs with rollers even if they are 2" in diameter as specified by Konecto. The Sundial floater pancaked so much that I don't even think glueing it down will work as there is so much extra material. Never trust a HD employee to give you complete and accurate info. I checked the SunDial website and DID find info on roller chairs...too late though.
Oh well...now on to my question. Konecto specifies no less than 2" diamenter rollers. There is no mention of weight per square inch. 1) Do any installers out there ever have a complaint about damage from roller chairs whether pancaking or scuffing? Based on some bonding problems I read about on another Konecto thread: 2) If the glue/epoxy does not hold and a bond separates and a chair wheel impacts an edge, will there be a problem?
