Konecto Questions
Hello all,
After an extensive remodel of a 1950ish Ranch house, all that remains is the floor to complete. I removed the wall that separated the living room from the kitchen leaving me with an 500sf open-concept room (and the living room is now the dining room.) Oak flooring in the dining area, vinyl in the kitchen and former dining room. I am considering vinyl over the whole floor rather than installing new oak and refinishing it all. The product that I am considering is Konecto Patina Woods, Lima. Aside from the concerns that I have read on the forums here, I would also pose installation questions to the venerable crew here. I plan to install at a 45 degree angle starting in the kitchen. I figure that I would need to line this out to ensure the far corner will be on and figure on a sizeable amount of waste when all is complete. The kitchen has an island, and I assume that I would need to install around it, however in the dining room is a Spinnet piano. I also have a very solidly built dining room set along with the fridge and oven. I am very concerned that these items, or combinations of items will be to heavy for a floating floor and will result in seam issues. I am looking for and will consider all advice people are willing to put forth in any aspect of my post. If clarification is needed, please let me know and I will respond as quickly as I can.
Thanks in advance.
