Flexitec vs regular Lineloum which one?

We are looking at replacing the existing lineloum in our kitchen because it's well, hideous and old. It came with the house. We are looking at flexitec flooring. Is it worth the money or would I do just as well to buy regular lineloum? Sorry about the misspelling. We have two young children so it has to be durable, hides dirt and is easy to clean.

TIA

Sarah

Sarah.

For those unfamiliar, Flexitec is produced by :: IVC Group US - luxury, vinyl, flooring :: - Homepage We have a number of pros who work with this and linoleum products regularly. I'm sure some of them will respond to your questions soon.

R'gards,

Jim

Again which one are you looking at and at what cost? Your question is like asking should I buy a Chevy or another car.

How it holds up will also be very dependent on how much use it gets and how you maintain it. What are your expectations on length of service, cleanability?

With that being said I'd spend my $$ on a different product.

So which particular and pattern style are you looking at purchasing?

One other note....
Many consumers call sheet vinyl Linoleum. Sheet Vinyl and Linoleum are two completely different animals. When it comes to durability and ease of cleaning, real Linoleum will take everything you and your family can throw at it.
There are many choices in high quality sheet vinyls and solid vinyl tile too.
Maybe, let us know what type of a look or design you are going for to narrow down the choices a bit.
In these types of floors, you truly get what you pay for. But more important is that is is properly installed by an expert in the field, not some run of the mill Home Depot, Empire carpet hack shop installer.
I think we can guide you in the right direction with the right information.

Welcome, Sarah. You will never go wrong with a brand new subfloor and conventional paper-backed vinyl sheetgoods.
