need to roll allure commercial flooring?

Good evening,

Shelled out the requisite number of greenbacks at HD and received a bunch of boxes of commercial grade Allure for the kitchen. Instructions on the box did not mention either rolling the joints or the completed floor, however, have seen forums talking about Konecto where rolling _is_ needed.

To roll or not to roll, that is the question. An alluring one at that....

Kind thanks in advance for any info.

Best,

Wecanoe

You should PM 'MSAHLI' for explicit directions for this.

Re: need to roll allure commercial flooring?

I hand roll the seams where the glue is and then roll the whole floor with a 100 lb roller as soon as I get far enough. So far no callbacks or complaints with quite a few sizable commercial areas. Seems like it would be hard to screw up.
It's just the first few pieces that get you frustrated as they stick right together before they're in the correct place. You learn pretty quick how to handle them so they fall right where they need to go. Then push the roller down so the two glued surfaced make solid contact and it's a done deal.

Easy money!

100# roller is overkill and a waste of time if you do it right to start with (the weight is dissipated far more with the 100# roller) .... in my opinion

Might be overkill Barry but so far so good. I'll keep rolling both ways.

Doesn't the warranty require a 100# roller? Just asking, I know some of those kind of products do.

According to Wecanoe it doesn't even mention rolling in the instructions so I don't know how they could require it for the warranty.

Thanks for the comments. After rereading, discovered that the instructions said to roll the seams. Time to get a roller. Best, Wecanoe
