My Konecto installation experience
I just put Konecto into a bathroom about a month ago in Chicago (January). I put down some cheap underlayment over existing tile with no leveling, etc. So far it has been fine. Reading the comments about coming apart had me modify the procedure, I used a heat gun on all the seams to heat it until it was warm to the touch, but not hot, and only once they were down and I was happy with them and then rolled them in the direction of the seam. I then rolled and rolled the floor in both directions when I was done. So far no problems and we have had a fair amount of temperature variance. I used a small hand roller and I did not put a lot of weight on it, but firm even pressure.
About cutting. Go get your table saw. It is the only way I found to get good straight edges. If you keep the plank moving it will not crumb or otherwise melt. I had one get stuck in between the blade and the guide and it behaved badly. But all the ones I planned out and kept moving came out great. The utility knife method is a nightmare.
