Ooooo!! I'd be careful of that. I installed a top of the line Mannington floor a few years back and was called back to look at a problem. After arriving I found the entire floor all streaked where what looked like someone used a mop. After checking with the owners, they told me that they have a house cleaner and she always uses water and vinegar. Just my experience. I wood check with a rep before I used that combo.

Is there someplace you could check on that? This is the Consumer/DIY forum and most of the people in this forum can't call a rep, only the store they bought the material from. They can't always rely on that for official information.

Re: Earthscapes IVC(?)
Hi, I found this forum when doing a google search for IVC earthscapes.
Maybe one of you will be really kind to help me with my confusion.
I had gone to a CarpetOne here in Virginia. I was ready to buy the Earthscapes pattern called Norwegian Teak. The next time I went back they didn't have it on display and they said they probably stopped carrying it.
So I tried contacting the national CarpetOne people and for a couple of months got the run around resulting in no one ever contacting me. I was trying to find out if there is another CarpetOne store selling it.
That's another confusion I have---the way the CarpetOne people made it sound was that they were the ones who manufactured Earthscapes, but now I see it's IVC. But I can't find any contact info for IVC.
I'd really like the Norwegian teak if it's still being made or if a store somewhere has surplus of it, anyone have any info?
Many thanks.

Re: Earthscapes IVC(?)
Hi personwithquestion,
One of our newest members happens to be an installation trainer for IVC and he has posted to this topic. The contact info for the company is also posted in this topic, so look back to the first page. Many of our members are also in retail sales and you can see if any of them are displayed on the GoogleMap (see the navigation bar at the top of this page) in your area. If you don't find one, that doesn't mean there isn't one. Not all of our members have placed a marker on our map yet. You can ask here in the forum.
I think you will find a solution to your dilemma here soon. Thank you for dropping by.

Hey, Nick most installers are skeptical, so was i my frist job. I have been from the East coast to West coast and every state in between training installers and i have not found a installer that does not like to lay the product. The key is to know the best why to install it. i have put together the installation instructions for IVC, but the way i did it was to talk to as many installers that i could, and i picked their brains. One thing i know is that if done right you can fix anything. (this is one vinyl you wont eat ). Let me know what store you are at and i will see if i can setup training. did you loose-lay or full spread ? Kevin.

Hey, Roland just trying to get the word out, and help out some fellow installers. Red Rock was great, just one of the perks. If you need anything let me know. Kevin.

Hey, Hook knife if D-815 is use can it be pulled up with out tearing the vinyl? You need to be able to pull up the vinyl if needed, but for steps that might work. there was a installer at the cass that said that he felt that the Mannington low gloss would close a seam gap, could you ask him how he does it? Kevin.

They might have said that Carpet One was the only place that sold it. They may have some exclusive materials or patterns that are only sold through Carpet One stores.
