Earthwerks Vinyl Plank flooring...

Another brand I can't find info on. It looks like a newer company. I was interested in the Wood Antique plank has a 20year residental/ 10yr commercial warranty. It's very pretty and looks a lot like wood very smooth finish with 32mil wear layer. Also the Soledo plank with a 12Res/6commercial and a 12mil wear layer.

Anyone have experience with this brand and or style? Will it hold up with kids and dogs?

Never heard of it,,, yet,,, but bang for the buck,, pure vinyl floor is way way up there, follow the install directions to the letter though, usualy adhered with a fine notched trowel, open time must be exact to prevent edge curling and/or lack of mechanical bond, once down it usualy stays down and unlike all laminate floors is a clore to bullet-proff as I've seen,, easy to mend and plank/tile replacements usualy go well,, oh also, your substrate should be flatter then almost any other floor because everything will telegraph through.

LVT is a great product for an active lifestyle. But do keep in mind, no product is bulletproof. The nice thing about LVT versus wood or laminate is that if you do have a damaged plank, it is easier to pull up and replace.

Wood antique has a wearlayer thick enough for heavy commercial use. This protects against wear which is different than scratching or gouging. It has a traditional look and a relatively smoother embossing. I would probably suggest a design that has more movement and/or a more varied embossing for your lifestyle. Soledo is a good choice. So would Montana or Wood Classic.

As for Earthwerks, it is a division of Swiff-Train Company. We are a family-owned company with over 170 employees that has been a flooring supplier for over 50 years. We sell our products nationally and internationally.

Thank you Jonathan Train. Are you a member of the Swiff-Train Company?

After some time and nearing end of construction, we have decided between The Sonoma Plank ASP 631 and Soledo Plank MSP 454 from Earthwerks and the Good Living plank GLP622 by Nafco. The Sonoma is the hand scraped version,. The Soledo has a light texture and has a 12/6 warranty and the Good living has a 15 residential. Both look nice. We like the look of the Earthwerks Sonoma best but a little worried how hand scraped look will hold up. The Good Living has smaller ridges and bumps an might hide imperfection better sown the road.

Any thoughts???
