Questions for a vinyl insurance replacement

Greetings all. I am a newbie here in search of opinions. We recently woke up to several gallons of water in the kitchen from a busted washing machine hose.
The old vinyl is up, floors dried out and damaged sub floor has been replaced.
Now it is time to choose replacement vinyl. Insurance is allowing $4.38 Sqft for replacement as we had a 20 year old top of the line Armstrong floor removed.

My question... I am torn between using Armstrong Natural Fusion with a 20 Year warranty and Earthscapes Flex Floor that also has a 20 year warranty. Both are covered by insurance replacement and the final choice will be installed by a pro.

Any suggestions or opinions as to which is the better floor?

I viewed the IVC videos and the Flex Floors seem to be more fragile and require more special care. Is this correct?

Are there installation procedures I should make sure are followed for each product (underlayment, adhesive type and application, seaming, etc)?

Sorry to be so verbose in my first post but I have a wife that is all up my &*^!% to get her home back in order.

Thanks in advance
JimH

Welcome to the board Jim .. I installed about 500 yds of the ivc so far .It seems to be a good product , and if installed correctly you won't have any problems .. it comes 13' .2 " wide , So you might not even need a seam .. Some of the guys on here that do more vinyl then i should be able to reply on the Amrstrong .. Good Luck ..

Re: Questions for a vinyl insurance replacement

Thanks for the reply. You have had a lot of experience with IVC. The floor that this is being laid on is Particle board and some rather rough Plywood that was used to replace the particle board that was damaged

Should I insist on luan as a topping to avoid uneven or "show through" of imperfections of the underlayment that might show up in the finished work?

You should allow youre installer to guide you in youre floor preperation, as he will be the one putting the vinyl down, or you can give us pictures so we can see what needs done as for the vinyls you have choosen its more a matter of what patterns you guys like because both will preform fine in most all residential settings

Put it this way, would you paint your Mercedez without applying a primer? Your subfloor is the foundation for the product and anytime you can do it right, it should be done.
