I am still putting things together, but you should be seeing the new style. I posted a picture of it the other day. If you see pretty much the same thing that was in that picture, then you are seeing the new style. But I can't see through your eyes, so I don't have any idea what you are seeing. Souldn't be seeing any remnants of the old style.
Please post forum support stuff in the forum support forum. I'll move this topic there now.

PS: a little after 4AM and I am really tired. Not done yet though.

The colors are really hard on the eyes. None of the forums show except the ones with new posts. Every time I switch between posts, it asks for my password, even tho it shows that I am already logged in.
Okay, I think I found the problem. It should be fixed now.
Please remember when you report a problem, I need information that will help me track it down. At the very least, provide your browser name and version and describe the problem in detail. There was a lot more to the popup box - it had Authentication Required and/or TFPnet somewhere in it. That would have been very helpful to know.
Anyway, problem fixed... I think. Let me know if you have any other issues. Sorry for the trouble.
I felt like Dorothy and toto, when she opened the door to Munchkinville.
I wasn't thinking that far ahead, in the confusion.
I was still on my first cup of coffee.
Looks good Jim. I had a problem getting in, but that has gone away. Keep up the good work because I don't have a clue about what you are doing. All I know is it looks different and good.
Thanks, everyone. I'm glad so many of you like the new style. I am still concerned about what Rusty thinks though - speak up Rusty.
I finally got to sleep for a couple hours and feel much better now. This has certainly been an ordeal. There were so many changes that are below the surface of what you all see. This is actually a preparatory step for another new forum software version coming early next year - what they claim is going to be a complete re-coding of the entire package (which is just one software program we use here - I think the count is around 8 or 9).
You prob'ly notice that the user info is now on the left side of posts, insteada on the top. That will be the norm for the new software next year, so I wanted to get things started in that direction (we have a choice now, but not for the new forum software next year). This also necessitated that I make things smaller in that area - your avatars are slowly being reduced (and some even look a little nicer with an added border or a judicious crop) and the badges have all been changed.
All in all, the current design should be easier to maintain and be more code efficient, which will bring more spiders, which in turn brings more visitors and maybe even more members. And the "really big shoow" is the PRO Directory. That may turn out to be quite a benefit for you guys. It's primarily for giving you something like a full page ad in the paper or phone book. It isn't intended to take the place of a website, but it will greatly enhance one and will even suffice for those who don't have one and can't afford one or don't want the responsibility of maintaining one.
Lets take it in small steps though. Please take the time to check out your new profile fields. Edit your profile so that it gives the visitor (and search engine spiders) a good idea of who you are and what your business is. This will have an added benefit of adding content to your directory listing, if you choose to have one (they're free for a year, so why not?).
In addition to the new profile fields, you will notice you have the capability to style your profile with colors and backgrounds and all sorts of things. These will not affect the directory listing, but they will make your profile area unique. Or just leave it the way it is, your choice. Look what I did for the profile of my alter ego: Floorcovering's Finest Professionals & Most Informed Consumers Present: Jim McClain
Okay, enough chatter from me. I got work to do.
Jim

.....well I am sure evrybody is dyin to know what I think...........
I'm not dyin' to know, but I will prepare the face for a big anyway.
Personally I like the new digs. Only thing I might change is darkening the background slightly so the contrast with black print against white is easier on the eyes.......... but it's not bad.
